Product Description:
Light:
Snake plants prefer indirect but steady light with some direct sun.
Soil:
Snake plants prefer a loose, well-drained potting mix. This plant will do well in sandier soils. Use a potting media low in peat content.
Water:
Regularly in summer reduce in winter and rainy season.
Fertilizer:
I’ve never fertilized my Snake Plants up until this year (see note below). I do feed them every spring with a topping of worm compost and compost.
Temperature and Humidity:
A temperature range between 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit is best. Itwill do fine in normal household humidity.
Pruning:
Propagating Snake Plant:
You can propagate by leaf cuttings: cut a 3- to 4-inch section of the leaf and stick it in some moist potting soil. Keep this evenly moist but not wet, and in several weeks to a month, small plantlets will begin to grow from the base of the cutting. These can be separated into individual plants or left as a clump.
