Sunlight:
Money tree plants like a mix of direct and indirect sunlight. As with most houseplants, too much direct sun can scorch the leaves, so to achieve the right balance with your money tree, you might want to turn or rotate it regularly for more even light distribution, just don’t move it all over the place, so as to disturb it too much.
Soil:
It’s important that you maintain nutrient-rich potting soil with good drainage.
Water:
The golden money plant loves watering, but make sure to avoid overwatering. You can water regularly during summers but gradually reduce during winters. Water the plant when the top of the soil is totally dry. Mist the plants roots to see better growth.
Temperature and Humidity:

Fertilizer:
Use nitrate base fertilizer The soil Ph should range from 6-7.5 You should never fertilize just after the trimming process. Fertilize the plant in the evening or in a shady area.
Pruning and Trimming of Money Plant:
If you do not prune your money plant, it will grow very long. To maintain the size of your money plant, carefully prune the plant each year.
- Remove dry or yellow or dead leaves and branches to keep the money plant healthy and prevent the tree from wasting energy on a dead branch.
- Cutting the tips of the growing branches prevent the money tree from growing taller, after it reaches the height you want and to encourage new branches and more dense foliage.
- Continue cutting the extra leaves and branches to keep plant in shape. Cut about 1/3rd of a stem at 45 degree angle.
Potting:
The size of the pot always depends on the size of plants. It is better to opt for heavy or big pots because in future the plant will grow and would require repotting. And also in small pots, the growth would be restricted.
Pruning
Remove yellow or dying leaves, and plant debris to encourage better-growing conditions. While pruning, always use clean utensils.
