Product Description:
Native to South Africa, Crassula Perforata are very attractive succulents that sprawl and stack on top of each other as they grow. They have small, tight leaves that appear to spiral around their stem. The leaves are pale, bluish light green in color and lined with rosy pink to reddish pink edges. The pink color intensifies when exposed to more sun. They can grow upto over 1 ft. (30cm) long. Crassula Perforata can be grown both indoors and outdoors. The triangle-shaped leaves grow opposite each other and spiral around the stem.
Light:
Crassula perforata requires full sun (over six hours of direct sunlight) but can tolerate partial shade. The plants will grow quickly and healthier when they grow in full sun.
Water:
It doesn’t require frequent watering. In fact, it’s a good idea to let the plant dry out between watering.
Soil:
Plant requires soil with good drainage. Standard potting soil with added sand should offer the right conditions.
Fertilizer:
If necessary, add liquid fertilizer every two weeks throughout the growing season. The fertilizer should be diluted to one-third strength.
Temperature:
The String of Buttons Crassula is recommended for USDA hardiness zone 9 to 11. It doesn’t tolerate freezing temperatures or extreme humidity
Humidity:
The String of Buttons can tolerate average humidity, but you can grow them in up to 70% humidity.
Pruning:
You do not need to prune your Crassula perforata. The stems do not have branches and the leaves are always beautiful to watch.
Repotting:
When the potting mix of your plants starts retaining more moisture than needed or when you have to wait for up to 14 days before you water your plants, you need to repot your Crassula perforata and plant it in a new well-drained potting mix.
