Product Description:
Clematis plants are among the most popular and attractive flowering vines grown in the home landscape. These plants include woody, deciduous vines as well as herbaceous and evergreen varieties. They also vary greatly among species, with different flowering forms, colors, and blooming seasons, though most bloom sometime between early spring and fall. The most featured vine in romance novels is easy to grow and and will bloom twice a year when it rains to fill the monsoon air with a beautiful woody scent.
Light:
These gorgeous plants require a lot of light to grow, but they do not like direct sunlight.
Water:
Water the plant when the topsoil (1-2 inch) in pot feels dry to touch. Do not overwater the plant. Water thoroughly in the summer and reduce watering in winter and rainy season.
Temperature And Humidity:
These tropical beauties prefer warm temperatures that are between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. It will not tolerate temperatures that drop below 55 degrees Fahrenheit. High humidity is also recommended to keep the leaf tips from turning brow
Soil:
This plant prefers soil that is rich in nutrients as well as a bit on the acidic side. I like to use a peat moss, sand, and bark mixture that is heavily aerated and drains well.
Fertilizer:
Alternatively, you could use a tomato or rose formula that supports healthy blossoms, along with a top-dressing of compost. We suggest Baicor Nutra Green All-Purpose 5-10-5 Fertilizer.
Pruning:
Remove yellow or dying leaves, and plant debris to encourage better-growing conditions. While pruning, always use clean utensils or shears to reduce the chance of bacterial and fungal diseases.
Re-potting:
When a plant outgrows in current pot, re-pot with fresh potting soil and some fertilizer.
Do the re-potting late evening and keep the plant in shady area for 2 to 3 days and then move the plant in its suitable climatic condition.
Propagate:
By using stem cutting.
